Ten Steps

The Ten Steps ghost story is a scary short film from Ireland about a girl who is home alone when the power goes out. She has to walk down the steps to the basement to turn it back on. Unfortunately, the basement is rumored to be haunted.

The Ten Steps was made in 2004 by Brendan Muldowney. The 10-minute long short film features a young girl whose family has moved into an old house. At school, she hears rumors that the basement of her house is haunted. The kids say that the Devil once appeared in the basement. While her parents are at a dinner party, the girl is caught in a power outage. When she calls her parents, her father insists that she go down to the basement to fix the fuse. She slowly descends the ten steps, each step into darkness inducing more and more terror.
