The Mitchell-Hedges skull was examined by Frank Dordland who discovered that the skull had a complicated system of lenses, prisms, and channels, creating unusual optical effects.

The skull was then sent to Hewlett-Packard for analysis. The results were shocking. They revealed that the skull had been made long before the first civilizations appeared in America. Crystal of such perfect quality couldn’t be found anywhere near that area. The most amazing thing was that the ancient skull had been carved out of a whole crystal.

They said no tools at the time could have carved the crystal. It had to have been done with diamonds, and then the detail work meticulously done with a gentle solution of silicon sand and water. The process would have taken over 300 years to complete.

Ancient Mayan legends tell a story of 13 crystal skulls that, when reunited, will save the world from a terrible catastrophe. The same legend is found among other ancient American civilizations like the Aztecs, the Navajos and the Cherokees.
