I know now that there are immortals among us. Today I learned their secret.
I came home after a long day at work. As I closed the front door behind me, the phone started ringing.
I answered it and a male voice on the other end said, “Hello, Sir. Could I have a few minutes of your time?”
I didn’t have anything much to do, so I said, “Sure”.
There was a long pause. Then the voice on the other end said, “Thank you” and hung up.
Suddenly, I felt just a little older.
