The Hobbyahs is a scary kids story about a little white dog who protects his owners from a savage bunch of monstrous creatures.
Once there was an old man, an old woman and a little girl who lived in a house made of hempstalks. Now the old man had a little dog named Turpie; and one night the Hobyahs came and said, “Hobyah! Hobyah! Hobyah! Tear down the hempstalks, eat up the old man and woman, and carry off the little girl!” But little dog Turpie barked so that the Hobyahs ran off; and the old man said, “Little dog Turpie barks so that I cannot sleep nor slumber, and if I live till morning I will cut off his tail.” So in the morning the old man cut off little dog Turpie’s tail.
The next night the Hobyahs came again, and said, “Hobyah! Hobyah! Hobyah! Tear down the hempstalks, eat up the old man and woman, and carry off the little girl!” But little dog Turpie barked so that the Hobyahs ran off; and the old man said, “Little dog Turpie barks so that I cannot sleep nor slumber, and if I live till morning I will cut off his legs.” So in the morning the old man cut off little dog Turpie’s legs.

That old man was so stupid. If my dog kept barking at night I would go see why she was barking. If the old man saw why Turpie was barking then he wouldn’t keep on cutting off the dog’s body parts.
The dog gave 3 barks to the Hobyahs and got parts off his body parts cut by the stupid old man(if only he knew that there were hobyahs, he wouldn’t cut off the dogs body part). Anyway, the dog had enough even though he was helping the family so he got his revenge on the old man(YA!! IT’S CALLED KARMA!!!!!) Great story!!
