H2O: Just Add Water is an Australian TV drama all about three teenage girls, Cleo, Emma, and Ricki. They get stuck on a boat, land on an island, and accidentally find an ancient cavern. The cavern contains magic water that turns them into mermaids.

From then on whenever water touches their skin, they immediately turn into mermaids.

Emma was the first to discover that she had been transformed into a mermaid. Ricki soon found out as well, and later Cleo did too. Together the girls face many challenges, for example people finding out their secret, rainstorms, pool parties, and anything to do with water.

Their friend, Lewis, helps to protect them, after finding out that Cleo was a mermaid.
