Cupid Killer

It was Valentine’s Day and that night, Kelly and Marco drove out to the local lovers’ lane. It had snowed recently and the place was deserted. Soon after they parked, Kelly thought she heard someone walking around. Marco assured her it was nothing, but she was still a bit worried.

All of a sudden, there was a sickening “Thock!” and Kelly’s face was sprayed by something sticky. It was blood. An arrow had come straight through the open window and embedded itself in Marco’s head, killing him instantly. Kelly screamed in horror. She got out of the car and tried to run for her life, but her legs buckled beneath her and she sprawled on the ground. Something from underneath the car had slashed her ankles. She couldn’t get up.

When she opened her eyes, she saw a man standing over her. He was wearing a mask. On the front of his jacket were the words, “DIE, DIE, DIE” in red lettering. He had some sort of belt around his waist and in one hand, he was holding a bow and arrow. In his other hand, there was a machete. That was the last thing Kelly saw before she felt the machete’s blade slice across her throat.

Less than an hour later, Megan and Greg were driving through a wooded area, close to the lovers’ lane, when their car broke down. Greg wanted to go for help, but Megan begged him to stay with her. He said he’d be right back. Some time passed and when he didn’t return, Megan began to grow worried.

All of a sudden, she heard a tap tap tap on the car window. When she got out to see what it was, she saw something that made her scream in fright. Greg’s body was lying in the snow, just a few feet from the car. There was an arrow through his head.

Just then, Megan heard a loud Thunk! and felt a sharp pain in her stomach. She clutched her belly and screamed. When she looked down, she realized she had been shot through the stomach with an arrow. Before she had time to wonder what was happening, another arrow came whistling through the air and embedded itself in her forehead.

Danielle and Ryan heard the screams just as they parked their car. Thinking that someone might be in need of help, they went to see what was going on. Finding nothing out of the ordinary, they went back to their car. Ryan was getting ready to start it when he happened to glance in the rearview mirror and froze.

In the back seat, there was a masked man. Before he had a chance to react, the man reached out from the back and slashed his neck with a machete. Danielle screamed and tried to flee but the door was stuck due to the cold. The Cupid Killer took out a rope and strangled her.

One year later, on Valentine’s Day, Brandon was at the grocery store buying some flowers and chocolates for his girlfriend, Desiree. He was heading back to his car when he was attacked from behind by a masked man. forced his head down in the trunk and slammed the hood down on it multiple times leaving the body there.

Kirsten and Clint had planned to celebrate Valentine’s Day together by going to a fancy restaurant. However, when they were driving home, Kirsten switched on the radio and heard on the news that there had been another murder. She was too scared to stay out and tried to drive home as fast as possible.

She remembered only too well the rampage of the Cupid Killer just one year before. She didn’t know Kelly too well but she had dated Patrick who was close friends with her when she was in high school. She saw him one summer but then lost contact with him and hadn’t spoken to him the last couple years.

The police were warning the public that there was a killer on the loose. Although they didn’t want to say it out loud, everyone knew it was the Cupid Killer again. They called him that due to the fact that he had placed arrows with hearts on the bodies of all his victims. Brandon was no exception. She didn’t know him since he was from another city but Desiree had been a classmate of hers though she barely knew her either.
The rest of the victims were two years younger than her and she never met them. They had all been nice, happy, carefree couples who never had a bad word to say about anyone. No one in town could understand why anyone would want to hurt them.

After a while, she convinced Clint to go home and stay in for the night. They got there in one piece and went inside. As they were taking off their coats, they heard a car pull up outside. It was Joe. He wanted to see if she was ok then she invited him to meet Clint. She heard a car trunk slam but looked out and saw nothing. After a while she wondered why Clint and Joe were taking so long to come down and went up to her room to see what was taking her so long. What she found made her scream in horror, Clint was dead with an arrow in the back of his dead. Joe was nowhere to be seen.

She found her window open and a crack was in it where the arrow had come from and saw footprints leading away from it and going in the backyard. She heard her doorbell ring and it was Patrick. He came to check on her. She told him what happened. He then convinced her to call the police on Joe. While they were waiting for them Joe came back and told her the arrow had come from the window. Joe looked out and saw the Cupid Killer fleeing into a backyard and Joe climbed out the window tried to chase him but lost him. Patrick called him a liar and fought with him until the police showed up.

They arrested Joe after finding the Cupid Killer mask in his trunk. There was also only one set of tracks in the snow that led into the backyards contradicting the story Joe chased him. Clint also had the Cupid Killer’s signature calling card. The police thought he went up to Kirsten’s room killed Clint then broke a window with another arrow to make it look like it came from outside. He then climbed out the window and disposed of the arrow in the snow. Police found an arrow on the side of the house buried under the snow confirming this theory.

Patrick held her and comforted her the whole way and asked if he could stay with her and police said it was fine. Kirsten called her mom and told her she was ok and Patrick was there taking care of her. Patrick told her he always loved her but Kelly and later Joe got in the way and because of it he always hated Valentine’s Day and happy, cheery couples. Kirsten then blushed and said she was sorry she never noticed sooner.

“It’s ok,” Patrick said. “Now I have you all to myself”.

  • i thought the story would have been cooler…the story just kept changing scenes.
sooo….patrick was the actual killer or something?
the only thing creepy about this is the last line….that’s it.

  • Real nice :) it looked like you worked pretty hard on it. It just didn’t make a lot of sense until you explained. Keep up the good work!

  • Here’s the original version:

Kelly and Marco drove out to the town’s lovers lane for Valentine’s Day. As soon as they parked Kelly heard someone walking around but Marco assured here it was nothing but she was worried since it had snowed recently and the place was deserted. Within seconds an arrow shot through the driver side’ss window and went right through Marco’s head killing him instantly. Kelly got out to run for help but something slashed her knee from under the car. She fell and saw a guy wearing a cupid mask with a sash that said “DIE, DIE’, DIE” in red. He had wings on his back and and also had a arrow holder above the sash. He had some sort of belt around his waist and a bow in in one hand and a machete in the other. He was the last thing Kelly saw before she felt the machete’s blade slide across her throat.

Megan and Greg were driving in a wooded are by the lovers lane. Greg’s car broke down and he went for help though Megan wanted him to stay. He said he’d be right be back. Sometime passed and he didn’t return. Megan heard a tap tap on the car and got out to see what it was see then saw something that made her scream in fright. Greg’s body was hanging from the branch above beating the car roof as it swung. It had an arrow through it’s stomach. The last thing she felt was an arrow piercing her stomach.

Danielle and Ryan heard the screaming and parked their and went to see what was going on. Finding nothing they went back to their car. Ryan was getting ready to start it and a man in a cupid mask reached out from the back and slashed his neck with a machete. Danielle tried to flee but the door was stuck due to the cold. • @Witchy Well I was tired when I wrote this so a few mistakes were probably made. It’s supposed to the police thought he.

@Nightfall. It was Patrick. Yes I implied the motive by saying that the were cheery, happy couples and he hated happy couples. He killed Kelly and framed Joe because they were in the way. The police only saw Joe’s tracks because Joe accidentally covered up Patric’s tracks which went to a bush. When Joe was out of sight Patrick took off his costume and let an arrow behind to make it look like Joe left it there. . When Kirsten heard the trunk slam it was Patrick putting the costume in Joe’s car. Then he went up to the house and convinced Kirsten to call the police so Joe would be arrested effectively framing him for the murder.

A few alterations were made as Patrick never dated her and Joe did and her hooking up with Clint. He basically snapped and turned into a stalker.

@DoICareNoWay and 2SuperScary Thanks I posted three Valentine’s Day stories t beginning of the month but they weren’t posted in time for the holiday. It’s basically a plot of a horror movie.

FYI. The calling card is what he left on his victims as he killed them and yes like I said the grammar mistakes were mine. I usually double check before submitting but forgot this time.

  • Cool! Btw, you typed ‘she went up to her room to see what was taking her so long.’ don’t you mean ‘them’?

  • Wow, this is an amazing valentines day story Pete. No wonder scaryforkids picked it.😉
